Tourism is an emerging professional subject of educational sector.Jagiroad College has been introducing this subject as vocational in the year of 2001 as Tourism and travel management(TTM) for the degree level. Now, the college has successfully run the two years PG course as MTM since the year of 2005.For the smooth acceleration of the both course college authority recruited sufficient staff with good academic command.From the beginning of the course most of the students from different NE region has come and join and departed successfully . The course is generally job oriented and large part of the students engaged in different tourism based sector and earn happily. Jagiroad College is the pioneer of introducing the tourism based course and generating employment in the NE region. This Tourism and Hospitality Management is a new B.Voc. Programme added in Tourism Department. It is one of the most potential employment centric as well as self employment generated programme introduced in the College from 2018-19 Academic Session. With a group of committed and young faculties, state of the art infrastructural facilities and logistic supports from the college authority, a good number of students have enrolled into the aforementioned courses. The Department has since produced a pool of outstanding professionals many of who earned deserving placements in various capacities in various organizations like ATDC, ITDC, different Hotel chains in the country, Air India, several travel Agencies.
