Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications(PGDCA):

Since its introduction of the Vocational courses in Computer Applications from the year 1996, the College has been trying to excel in producing of quality computer professionals suitable for the job market of the corporate world. Due to the latest demand of Computer Professionals in the modern era of Computerization and also the changing environment and rapid advances in Computer Technology in the corporate world, time has made it imperative to introduce more specialized courses.

With two well-equipped fully air-conditioned Computer Laboratories having all facilities and competent faculties, Jagiroad College marks its grand beginning in Post-Graduate Studies by launching Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA) Courses at the Post Graduate Level from the session 2005-06 to fulfill the demand of the students in the region.

The primary objective of the course is to produce pro-active well-trained Computer Professionals for the academic as well as corporate world. The course comprises of 8(eight) papers with an additional project work to be completed in 2(two) semesters in 1(one) year. While undergoing the courses, students will require to do some project works, which will build a sense of self-confidence in them and would help in shaping their future career as Computer Professionals.

Eligibility & Admission Process:

The admission is open for graduates in any stream with a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate. Preference will be given to those students having Mathematics at the Higher Secondary level. The students appearing for their final year in under graduate examination can also apply. However, such candidates, if admitted, will have to produce testimonials regarding their fulfilling the eligibility criteria before the academic session starts, failing which their admission will be cancelled.

Candidates seeking admission to PGDCA course is required to appear in an interview which will be conducted by the College itself. Intake Capacity : 30 [Reservation as per Govt./University norms]

Students of PGDCA secured gainful employments in institutions and farms like the AMTRON, RGCPL, NRHM, NIIT and government and private schools and organizations.
